Guided Runs

Social trail running sessions for women who’d like to explore new trails around Glasgow and run with others. The routes are carefully chosen to give you the best trail running experience in beautiful settings and are accessible for those who are new to trail running as well as more experienced runners.

If you’d like to get a feel for trail running before joining a guided run you can try it for free with the Wild Trails group (30 minutes and 60 minutes sessions).

Aberfoyle

Winter Trail Run and Sauna

Sunday 15th February 2026, 10am to 1pm

Rowardennan, Loch Lomond

What to bring:

  • Trail running shoes – essential as the trails get slippery and the extra grip is important to prevent slips and falls
  • Hat/buff, gloves – recommended in colder weather
  • Waterproof jacket – recommended
  • Water and snacks if you usually need them (and definitely water on warmer days)
  • For runs followed by a sauna session, please see the booking page for additional information about what to bring.

Pace: these are social runs, not races, and the pace is determined by the slowest runners, not the fastest. As a guide, these runs are suited to those who can run 10K on roads in under 70 minutes.

Run leader: the runs are led by Gaby of Skylark Guiding. A trail runner and hill runner, Gaby loves running off-road and sharing her favourite trails and routes with others. She is an Outdoor First Aider and holds a Leadership in Running Fitness qualification.

Refunds and cancellations: Please see the full Terms and Conditions https://skylarkguiding.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/
